THE LITTLE BLACK BOOK
Handler intel.
The part ordinary travel sites do not know—or do not say.- THE OPENING LINE · Tell certified local guide you have a real budget, flexible timing, and want the version they would arrange for a favorite client—not the default package.
- THE LEVERAGE · Ask the land manager what changed this week. Current trail, wildlife, fire, and access intel beats a viral post every time.
- THE MONEY TRAP · Budget for permits, parking, shuttles, seasonal equipment, and the backup plan—not merely admission.
- THE HANDLER MOVE · Ask, “If this were for someone you wanted to impress, what would you change?” Then stop talking and take notes.
03 · BRING THIS
- Headlamp
- Warm layers
- Water and fuel
