THE RESPONSIBLE-ADULT PORTAL
Adventure needs
ground rules.
OTL helps you find the door and build the plan. You are still the person who checks the weather, reads the waiver, verifies the operator, and decides whether walking through it is smart.
LAST UPDATED · SEPTEMBER 19, 2026Safety first. Story second.
Off the Limb provides ideas, research prompts, planning tools, and general information. We are not a booking agent, tour operator, emergency service, medical provider, legal adviser, or safety authority.
Before you go
- Verify the operator’s current license, credentials, insurance, reputation, and cancellation policy.
- Confirm age, health, mobility, weight, equipment, training, and supervision requirements.
- Check permits, closures, access rules, road and water conditions, weather, wildfire risk, and current local guidance.
- Read every waiver and follow qualified professionals. If a briefing feels careless, leave.
- Use legal access only. Do not trespass, bypass barriers, or substitute an old post for current conditions.
THE RULE: If the real-world facts conflict with an OTL mission file, the real world wins.
Your Field Log is yours.
You can browse public OTL pages without signing in. An account is required when you save missions, build custom plans, schedule adventures, track progress, or write after-action reports.
What we use
- Your ChatGPT sign-in supplies an account identifier, email address, and—when available—display name so OTL can provide your private account experience.
- Your saved missions, dates, checklists, budgets, spending, notes, collections, custom plans, and reports are stored in OTL’s app database and tied to your signed-in account.
- OTL uses Google Analytics to understand anonymous site and page usage. Advertising signals and ad personalization are disabled.
OTL does not process contributions or payment details. If you choose to fund a goal through Registered at Life, you are leaving OTL for a separate platform governed by its own policies.
Do not put passwords, financial-account numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information in mission notes. You can sign out at any time. Account-data access, correction, and deletion requests may be made directly to the site owner.
Use the intel. Own the decision.
By using Off the Limb, you agree to use the site lawfully and responsibly. OTL is an informational and entertainment planning tool. Using it does not create a concierge, travel-agent, guide, fiduciary, or professional-adviser relationship.
